I must admit that psychology fascinates me. Okay, I'm officially obsessed, almost to the point of complete insanity.....which would entail making every member of family take the Myers's-Briggs personality test, figuring out whether they are left or right brain dominant, memorizing love languages, etc. Something about it makes me feel very connected to the human beings around me. Sure, no matter of tests or charts can define a person, but the guidelines make for a very interesting comparison.
According to the Myers-Briggs personality test, I'm an ENFP, a.k.a a dominantly extraverted intuitive person, with introverted feelings. It was so interesting to read the description for an ENFP. Most paragraphs of the article nailed my personality, while others where not even close.
But, to take it a step further, if you pair the Myers-Briggs personality test with the Four Temperaments, it creates a whole spectrum of exciting possibilities. For instance, if you compared a Sanguine tempered ENFP to a Melancholic tempered ENFP, the combinations would yield very interesting results for each pair.
Oh, I'm not finished yet. Being left or right brain dominant effects personality once again.
I like to think of the Myers's-Briggs results as a base guideline for what category your personality type fits into. Then, add the variables; temperament and brain dominancy.
